Treblekicker

Sunday
Despite working opposite the Beeb, they've done me in twice this week. First, the site (which is my home page) wouldn't load. Normally when that happens it means something abnormal's happened. It froze when Jill Dando was assasinated, and of course (so I'm told) it did so when I was 27. I certainly remember the low graphics versions to cope with the extra demand in the anthrax scared months that followed.

On a lighter note, I got free tickets to see Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. We went for a greasy McDonalds down in the 'bush. Surprisingly few nutters actually. But we got there too late at Wood Lane too late, and as it was first come first served - "Tickets do not guarantee admittance", so we went for a drink North of Oxford Street. Spent too much money in Virgin Megastore too, old Aphex Twin and Cypress Hill's much neglected first album.

If...
Staying in Saturday night stoned watched If, the late sixties film about a rebellion at an English public boarding school, starring Malcolm McDowell who later went on to do Clockwork Orange with Kubrick. Excellent film, very tense, while at the same time making it not too dark so it wasn't merely weary. Worth seeing. Man in the Moon is next on the vid list, borrowed off Ben. Jim Carrey plays straighter roles well I think. The Truman Show was excellent.
