Well, time for another update. Went up to London on Saturday and ended up drinking in yet another part of London I've never been to before, Canary Wharf. It's a little sterile but there are lots of nice bars. Rob was down and seemed a lot happier. This is partly because the hassle at work over that girl he had to sack is all over but also partly because he's shagging a thirty five year old married woman from work. As much as there's the moral thing about the fact he shouldn't 'cos she's married (and got four kids), he hasn't had a lot of luck with women in his life and like I say, he seems to be happy.
We went to dinner at Browns which is a fairly posh chain and proved to be a total disappointment. I had a confit of duck. A confit is basically a leg of duck (or chicken), that's preserve in fat and salt. It should be moist and tasty. This was dry and drab. I paid a tenner for this shite. Just to think in Kilburn there was a restauarant called Small & Beautiful that gave a starter and a main of decent food for a tenner. You can get good cheap food in London, you just have to know where!
Had too much to drink and ended up going back to Notting Hill for a smoke. Stayed over too, which was a mistake 'cos I didn't get to bed until 3 and had to get up at 8 to get back to Southend to have breakfast with my Gran & parents.
You'll be pleased to hear that an image search on Google for "Vomiting" brings up (pardon the pun) only a few unsavory pics. This cat was on the third page though, from an article called "A guide for vomiting cats. Cat sick is gross. Anyway, I digress
God I felt rough when I woke up. One of those hurts to move mornings. Westbourne Park tube got a little splattering from my stomach, although there was precious little in it, pukefans. Did get me thinking the rather gross thought, which London stations have I been sick at?
1. Liverpool Street Four pints of Hoegaarden on an empty stomach after work. Not wise. Fell asleep and missed my stop.
2. Leytonstone Not alcohol actually, but food poisoning. Dodgy curry, couldn't keep anything down for 48 hours.
3. Westbourne ParkSee above
4. West Hampstead Coughing fit. Unwell. Actually made it to the loo though.
Luverly :)
